A collaboration led by researchers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Institut Laue-Langevin in Grenoble, France, has just been published in Science Advances. The study uses neutron diffraction to visualize protons in the structure of Protein Kinase A (PKA-C), providing important insights into hydrogen-bonding networks and protonation states that underpin allostery and catalysis.
